World Championship Halibut Fishing 2024

The World Championship in Halibut Fishing is a festival located in Havøysund celebrating halibut fishing and local fishing culture. In the daytime it is all about the competition, and on Saturday evening we throw a huge party with live music. For the past 8 years (not counting the two years we had to cancel due to covid), pro anglers, commercial fishermen and amateurs have met in Havøysund for the world's largest halibut fishing competition.

Please note that admission to the event is binding. However full refunds will be made if the event is cancelled due to circumstances such as Covid 19.
