About the event
The World Championship in Halibut Fishing is a festival located in Havøysund celebrating halibut
fishing and local fishing culture. In the daytime it's all about the competition,and in the evenings we throw a huge party with live music. For the past 7 years (with covid the last couple of years it was cancelled of course),
pro anglers, commercial fishermen and amateurs meet in Havøysund for the world's biggest halibut fishing competition.
