World Championship Halibut Fishing

The World Championship in Halibut Fishing is a festival located in Havøysund celebrating halibut fishing and local fishing culture. In the daytime it's all about the competition, and in the evenings we throw a huge party with live music, For the past 3 years pro anglers, commercial fishermen and amateurs meet in Havøysund for the worlds biggest halibut fishing competition. Next year in 2018 we plan to make our status more official and move from the name “Scandinavian Halibut Festival” to “The World Championship in Halibut Fishing”.
